PRINCE PRAISES WORK BIG PARADE AT WHITEHALL (United P.A. — By Telegraph — Copyright) (Australian P.A.—United Service) Reed. Noon. LONDON. Sunday. Marshal Foch attended the British Legion Conference at Scarborough, and was made an honorary legionary. The Prince of Wales addressed the 550 delegates. Pie promised practical help, praised the legion’s relief work, and said he would accompany 10,000 legionaries on the battlefield pilgrimage in August. Lari Jellicoe paid tribute to the late Earl Haig and the thousands of voluntary workers. The Prince flew back to Sandringham to. dine with their Majesties. The Duke of York took the salute of 1,000 legionaries, including five Victoria Cross winners, in a parade at Whitehall. The Dean of Westminster conducted a service at the Cenotaph. COMRADES IN ARMS Reed. 11.3 a.m. RUGBY, Sun. Marshal Foch. reviewing the British Legion guard of honour at the railway station when he arrived, said the sight of them renewed in him sentiments which had existed between them and him when they were comrades on the battlefields. It gave him the liveliest satisfaction to be back in London once more.
