Following an Italian Fascist antiYugoslav demonstration, the Yugoslavs counter-demonstrated at Sebenico, Spalato, Laibach, and Belgrade. Troops and the police used sidearms to prevent the breaking-in of Italian houses. Injuries and arrests were numerous. The rioters broke the windows of the Italian consulates at Spalato and Sebenico. The disturbances were most serious at Sebenico, where Italian shop windows were smashed, and the agency of the Pola Navigation Company was raided.
