SMITH FOR AUSTRALIA (United P.A.—By Telegraph — Copyright) (Australian Press Association) NEW YORK, Friday. A message from Oakland, California, says Captain Kingsford Smith has arrived there in his plane the Southern Cross, after a pleasant but uneventful trip from Los Angeles. Captain Smith and his three associates intend to leave Oakland for Honolulu next Thursday, if the weather is favourable, on their flight to Australia.
