Public notice is hereby given that "he Onehunga Borough Council, in pursuance of its powers under "The Municipal Corporations Act, 1920,” ‘‘The Rating Act, 1925,’' "The Hospital and Charitable Institutions Act, 1909,” and their respective Amendments, and all other powers thereunto enabling it, intends on TUESDAY’, June 5, 1928, to make and levy for the year beginning April 1, 1925, and ending March 31, 1929: 1. A Consolidated Rate of 2 17-C2d in the £ upon the Rateable Value of all Rateable Properties (on the basis of the Unimproved Value) appearing in the Valuation Rolls for t! f time being in force for the Borough of Onehunga, in lieu of tlie following rates:—

(a) General Rate of ltd in the £. (b) Library Rate of 3-32 d in the £. (c) Lighting Rate of 3-Sd in the £. (d) Hospital Rate of 13-16 d in the £. 2. A Water Rate of id in the £ upon the Unimproved Rateable Value of all Rateable Properties in the Borough to which water is supplied, with a minimum annual charge of 7s 6d. unless a water meter is affixed, in which case the charge shall be in accordance with the Waterworks By-laws. 3. A uniform Annual Fee of Ss upon each shop, dwelling or other building from which the Council is prepared to remove refuse once weekly. 4. Upon the Unimproved Rateable Value of ail Properties in the Borough (excluding the area last added from the One Tree Hill Road District) a Consolidated Special Loans Interest Rate of 3 7-32 d in the £. 5. In the new area, merged in the Borough on the 31st day of March, 1927, the following Special Rates, which have already been struck, to be collected on the Unimproved Rateable Value of all Rateable Property, as appearing in the separate Valuation Roll for the said area, a Consolidated Rate of 1 3-16 d in the £ to provide the interest and sinking funds (a) Loans Nos. 1 and 6 (road formation). (b) Loan No. $ (road formation). (c) Loan of £827 3s 4d (purchase of water mains). (d) Destructor Loan (proportion). A Rebate of 5 per cent, will be allowed on all the above Rates provided they are paid within 30 days of the due date thereof, and all arrears of Rates due by the Ratepayer claiming the debate are first paid. The above Rates are payable in one sum on the Ist day of July, 1928, to the Collector appointed by the Council at the Council Chambers, Queen Street. Onehunga.
