WOMEN’S HOCKEY
MEETING OF EXECUTIVE Miss P. Dawson presided over a fairy representative attendance of members of the executive of the Auckland Ladies’ Hockey Association on Thursday evening last. It was decided that a blackboard lecture on the game be held on Thurs-' day night, May 31. Application is to be made immediately to have the New Zealand Ladies’ Hockey Association’s tournament held in Auckland in September. The Kaipara and Waihi Associations applied for affiliation, which was granted. Kaipara’s request that the following uniform be registered as their representative uniform was granted: Navy skirt, emerald green sweater, navy cap with emerald green monogram, black stockings. ■VVaihi’s application for permission to change their representative uniform was deferred for consideration at the next meeting. A motion was passed prohibiting the use of the Harlequin Ball in order that the rules of the game may be complied with. No hooking of sticks will be allowed in women’s games. The following transfers were approved: Y.W.C.A. Club, Miss D. Corson and Miss M. Scarborough, from senior grade to Junior A; Miss M. Matthews, from Junior A to senior grade. Mrs. Clark was appointed senior grade selector for 1928 and Mr. L. Spooner for the junior grade. Notice was given of th© approach of the King’s Birthday tournament to be held on June 4. It was decided to close entries for seven-a-side games on Monday, May 28, at 12 noon.
