INDUSTRIAL CONFERENCE
EXPLANATION OF FINDINGS With the object of explaining the findings of the recent Industrial Conference. the Auckland delegates will address a combined meeting of trade union executives on Monday next in the Trades Hall. The term •‘optional arbitration’ is said to have bewildered a large number of the rank and file of trade unions. Explaining the term, a trade union secretary said that the employers' re- . commendation in this respect meant that in the event of a .failure at the Conciliation Council a dispute would not be referred to the court unless bdtii parties were agreed.
