In the fifth round Tulloch defeated R. Cant, 2 up and 1 to play; W. McCallum defeated T. A. Torrance, 7 up and 6; Dickson defeated Mellor at the 19th hole; Perkins defeated Rankin, 1 up; J. W. Pease defeated T. F. Ellison at the 20th hole; R. H. Wethered defeated McKinley, 1 up; Lang defeated Bourne. 4 up and 3; E. B. Tipping defeated Henderson, 3 up and 2.
