THREE CHARGES OF THEFT :as: Press Association. »- PALMERSTON N.. Wednesday. In the Police Court Henry Roland Barr, a labourer, aged 24, pleaded guilty and was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence on a charge of breaking and entering the dwelling of Thomas Young at Fitzherbert, and stealing articles valued at £ 3 11s; also on a charge of breaking and entering the dwelling of Mrs. Avery at Palmerston North and stealing articles valued at £ 2 2s 6d, and breaking and entering the dwelling of Miss McLagan, at Palmerston North, and stealing four shillings in money. Accused pleaded not guilty of an act of indecency at Fitzherbert with the intention of offending a female. He was sentenced to three months’ hard labour.
