“THE OPEN RANGE” “The Open Range,” Zane Gray's story of the West, will be shown to-night at the Britannia Theatre with Betty Bronson, Lane Chandler and Fred Kohler in the leading roles. { The story concerns Tex Smith, a handsome cowboy who is in love with ! Lucy Blake, in a small Western town. On the way to meet her he sees Red and Tlardman, two cattle thieves, rounding up someone’s cattle. Red and Hardman realise that they must get Tex before the sheriff does, or they will be caught. Knowing his interest in Luc3 r , they seek him at her house. Lucy tells Tex he is wanted for rustling, but he claims innocence. When Hardman’s gang arrives, she hides Tex away. Swearing that he will prove his statements, he leaves to track the thieves. The second feature will be Harry Langdon's great comedj r of a muchmarried man, “.The Chaser.”
