WIFE’S MISCONDUCT
DECREE NISI GRANTED CO-RESPONDENT NOT NAMED A decree nisi to be made absolute in three months was granted Ralph Gordon Player, builder, Auckland (Mr. McLiver) in an action in divorce brought before Mr. Justice Blair and a jury of 12 at the Supreme Court on Tuesday. The respondent was Elizabeth Freda Wilhelmina Player (Mr. R. Singer), and. the proceedings were brought on the grounds of adultery. The defence was a direct denial of the misconduct alleged. An order had been granted enabling petitioner to dispense with the naming of the corespondent, on the ground that the man had not been identified. Evidence as to the misconduct was given by petitioner and Arthur Southgate, contractor, who supported the essential points in the allegations against respondent. The jury came to an agreement after an hour’s retirement.
