PRIEST’S SUDDEN DEATH

COLLAPSE AT PRESBYTERY The Rev. Father Reginald Patrick Finn, aged 42, who arrived in Auckland yesterday on a visit from Tauranga, was found dead in his room at St. Patrick's Presbytery early this morning. When he retired last night Father Finn complained of illness, out it was not suspected that his condition was serious. He has been under treatment for heart trouble for some time. The late Father Finn, who was born in Gisborne, was a son of the late Mr. H- J. Finn, a well-know r n Gisborne solicitor. He was ordained at Sydney in 1911, and worked in several parishes in the Auckland diocese. In 1926 he returned to Sydney and remained in the Lewisham Hospital there for nine months. Later he went to Wagga Wagga, serving as chaplain for several months at the Catholic hospital there. He returned to New Zealand in 1927, living with his parents at Tauranga. A requiem mass will be held at St. Patrick’s Cathedral at 9 am. to-mor-row. _ ,
