Business on 'Change
Banks in Demand HEAVIER trading is recorded on ’Change. Increased attention is being given to banks.
Bank of New Zealands are slightly firmer and registering increased activity at 60s 3d. Commercials remain In good tone, and at mid-day sellers hardened 3d to 30s, with buyers firm at 39s 3d. Unions are slightly easier. In miscellaneous. New Zealand Fertilisers have eased a point or so to see sales at 925. Taranaki Oils are steady, with buyers in at 9s. In timbers, buyers of Kauris have withdrawn following the directors’ announcement that there will be no interim dividend this year. Sellers were quoting 21s 6d.
