In the first round of the doubles of hard-court tennis championships, Tooralva (Chile) and Edouard Borotra defeated J. Peacock (New Zealand) and Guillemot (Franco). C— 4. tf —4, 6 —3. Borotra played a most brilliant game his strokes recalling those of his famous brother.
