PHILISTINES’ CLUB

The Philistines Club held their first meeting of the season on Saturday evening. Tt was members’ night, and was actually the annual general meeting, interspersed with supper and some dancing to a delightful orchestra. Plans for the year were discussed and committees formed, Mr. H. U. Gillespie and Mr. J. W. Wilson being reelected as treasurer and secretary. 1 Opportunity was taken of handing to Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Good, who were recently married, a gift from ttm club. Mr. Good is an old committee man, and. Mrs. Good also has long been a member of the Philistines. The presentation was made by Mr. Gillespie, as one of the founders of the club.
