“IN OLD KENTUCKY” “In Old Kentucky,” starring: James Murray, Helene Costello and Wesley Barry, is now being: shown at the Edendale Theatre. The story concerns Jimmy Brierly, son of Robert Brierly, a Kentucky sportsman and owner of thoroughbreds, who grows up with “Skippy,” his father’s jockey. “Skippy’s” father, Han Lowry, is trainer for the Brierly stable. As the boys grow up, both fall in love with Nancy Holden. When war breaks out, Jimmy enlists and embarks, but “Skippy” is rejected. War is over, Jimmy returns home a callous, sophisticated youth. Both his parents deeply feel the change, and so does Nancy, who has remained faithful to him.
