MOTORIST SUES FOR £1,079 SEQUEL TO COLLISION Damages amounting to £1,079 were claimed by Charles Baker, a labourer, of Onehunga (Mr. Finlay), from Thomas Gardiner Exton, a salesman of Papatoetoe (Mr. Leary), before Mr. Justice Blair and a jury of 12 at the Supreme Court this morning. The action arose out of a collision which occurred between a motor-cycle and motor-car at the corner of Coronation Road and Mclntyre Road, Manger e, on July 30 last. Plaintiff, who was riding the motorcycle, alleged that ttie defendant had been guilty of negligence in coming across the line of traffic in Coronation Road at excesive speed, in cutting the corner, and in failing to give necessary warning.
