SEWAGE DISCHARGE

PROTECTION OF BEACHES TITIRANGI RATEPAYERS The suggested discharge of sewage into the Manukau Harbour was discussed at the annual meeting of the Titirangi Ratepayers’ Association on Saturday evening, when about 70 attended, Mr. J. Grierson presiding. To secure the protection of the Titirangi beaches in connection with the sewage proposal, a resolution was passed requesting the executive’s action. If a commission was appointed to inquire, the committee was asked to arrange for evidence to be given. The executive was elected as follows: Chairman, Mr. J. Grierson; secretary, Mr. W. A. Bishop; committee, Messrs. N. G. Hawkins, H. J. Atkinson, A. A. Creamer, M. L. Wilkins and L. A. Bishop.
