NOTES The special short-wave test by station 3LO was received at good strength in Devonport on Saturday morning, as was also the usual transmission this morning. A little swinging was noticeable. There will be another test on Sunday next from 4.45 to 5.45 a.in., Melbourne rime. This should be received here from about 6.15 to 7.15 on Sunday morning, on 32 metres. Last night for an hour, from 10.80, 2XAJFV New York, was broadcasting a special programme for Australia on 31.4 metres. This was received locally at full loud-speaker strength on three valves. For some rime Station 2FC relayed the transmit ion. which consisted principally of jazz music.
