“THE WARNING” ‘■The Warning." starring Dorothy Revi'=r and Jack Holt, and now being shown at the Lyric Theatre, is a story of the adventures of a girl detective of the British Secret Service who is working against the smuggling of opium into Shanghai. Jack Holt plays the part of Two I ellows known to the waterfront population as captain of the tramp steamer "The Laughing Lady,” a debonair, devil-may-care chap who. nevertheless commands attention and the respect Othe underworld for his aptitude at smuggling opium in his dirty little steamer. , -The Miracle of Life,” a powerful storv of modern society, will also be shown. The author is Olga Prmtzlau, well known for her books on presentday problems, and the story deals with the dilemma of a young: woman, in deciding for or against motherhood.
