CYCLIST BADLY HURT

SKID THROUGH BLOW-OUT Thrown heavily from his motorcycle through .a tyre bursting as he was turning a corner in Hurstmere Road, Takapuna, about noon yesterday, Cecil Webster received serious head injuries. He had not regained consciousness early this afternoon, Mr. Webster was riding towards Milford and was turning the corner at Black Rock when the accident happened. He was thrown some distance to the right, his cycle skidding across the road and under a motor-bus, owned by the North Shore Transport Company, which was going in the other direction. The injured man was taken to the Auckland Hospital. He is 19 years old and lives in Karaka Street, Takapuna.
