THROWN OFF LAUNCH
MAN DROWNED IN EDDY TRAGEDY NEAR NELSON Press Association. NELSON, To-day. While coming through French Pass yesterday afternoon, in a motor-launch Mr. R. W. Reid, well known in Nelson as the foreman of Montgomery’s Garage, was thrown off the launch, which was caught in an eddy, and drowned.
His body has not yet been recovered.
