STRUCK BY CYCLE

WOMAN SERIOUSLY HURT DOMINION ROAD ACCIDENT Serious head injuries were received by Mrs. Nellie Parish, aged 64, of 69 Grange Road, Mount Eden, when she was struck by a bicycle as she was crossing Dominion Doad near the post office on Saturday afternoon. Mrs. Parish had just stepped off the footpath when she collided with the cycle, ridden by Mr. James Featherstone of 14 Princes Avenue, Mount Roskill. She fell on the back of her head. The injured woman received first-aid at a nearby chemist’s shop and was attended by a doctor before being taken to the A.uckland Hospital. She did not recover consciousness for some hours. Her condition this morning had improved slightly.
