ONE FOR ROTORUA LINE

The Xew Zealand Tourist League ><># been informed that next summer the Railways Department intends to equip the Rotorua express trains with an observation car. The car will be fitted with specially-designed wickerwork seats and be attached to the rear of the train. A similar car will be attached to the Christchurch-Hokitika express. At the suggestion of the League, the Railways Department intends to try out the South African Railways Department’s method of fitting sleeper bunks in saloon carriages and hiring out sterilised bedding.
