£123,832 SPENT ON WORKS COUNCIL’S ANNUAL REPORT General rates in 10 of the 11 ridings of the Waitemata County are unchanged for the year 1928-29. the only increase being from lid to 2d in the Waipareira riding. During the yeai 35.3 mile** of new metalling had been completed and 19.7 miles of new road formed Twenty bridges of a total length ol 740 ft. had been replaced in permanent material.
