RUN OVER BY TRUCK MAN’S LEG AMPUTATED Press Association. OAMARU, Friday. When the steamer Wingatui was being loaded this afternoon at Holmes Wharf. John Bain, waterside worker, was run over by a railway truck. He was shockingly injured, both legs being broken. At the hospital his right leg was amputated, and his condition is critical. The injured man is married and 65 years of age.
