RHUBARB
To get the best out or rhubarb it is necessary to give it plenty of attention. Last year’s roots should be lifted now, divided into beds rich in stable refuse and given heavy watering. Rhubarb does especially well ffnder irrigation. A kerosene-tin, with the top and bottom removed, placed over the plants will force the stalks along rapidly. Unless the aim is to save seed, cut out the seed shoot as soon as it appears
