DANCE PARTY
CAPTAIN HONOURED The residence of Mr. and Mrs. F. H. Leonard, Pine Lodge, Great South Road, Papatoetoe, was the scene of a delightfully informal social evening on Thursday, when a dance was held in honour of Captain Hartman, of the s.s. Tamaroal. The spacious rooms, ' with the surrounding verandahs, and [ the beautiful grounds, lent themselves L admirably for the function. Supper was served in the dining-room, which had been attractively decorated with ) masses of brightly-coloured blooms. Mrs. F. H. Leonard welcomed the guests, wearing a smart gown of black 1 georgette, with which was worn an overdress of black lace. Assisting Mrs. Leonard were Mrs. G. Wright, who wore a pretty frock of black sequined georgette; Miss Leo--1 nard, in a dainty frock of geranium beaute; Miss Iv. Leonard, almond green georgette frock; Miss N. Leonard, daintily embroidered frock of apricot hatienne; Miss J. Wright, periwinkle i blue crepe de chine frock. 1 Among the guests were; Miss Margaret Wilson, frock of powder blue georgette, with silver corsage. Miss Mclntosh, kingfisher blue satin luxor frock. Miss Gallaher, frock of sage green crepe de chine, with trimmings of gold lace. Miss Stehr, frock of sunset organdie. Miss McFarlane, apple green crepe de chine frock. Miss Upton, frock of chartreuse green crepe de chine, with silver lace trimMiss H. Percy, orchid pink frock of taffeta. Miss Wilson, frock of rose pink crepe de chine, with overdress of gold lace. Miss O’Hara, frock of wine lace.
