PAPAKURA CROQUET

The Papakura Croquet Club held its annual meeting yesterday afternoon. The president, Miss M. Cooke, presiding over a good atendancc. Airs. H. E. McEntee, secretary, presented the annual report which disclosed that the past season had been an interesting and pleasant one. The club matches were keenly contested, resulting in the championship being won by Miss W. J. Elliott. Handicap singles. —A, Mrs. H. E. McEntee; 8., Mrs. J. Richardson; C, Miss Adkins. Holders of buttons. —A, Mrs. Leighton; B, Miss Evelyn Bates; C. Mrs. T. Dickey. In tiie ladder matches, Mrs. W. Rowe headed the list. The club’s membership stands at 37; honorary members, two; a decrease of four members. The assets total about £SO. The folio win" officers were elected: Patron, Mrs. E. D.
