BRITANNIA

“GET YOUR MAN” ‘ Get Your Man,” starring Clara Bow, is now being shown at the Britannia Theatre. The scene of the picture is in Prance, the action taking place in Paris and at a French chateau. It is the story of an American girl who falls in love with a French youth who has been engaged to another girl since babyhood, the betrothal having been arranged by his father and the father of his fiancee. Miss Bow appears as the American girl,' one of the modern set, who, seeing no sense in traditions when they conflict with the edicts of the he: 11, instigates a comprehensive plan to break the engagement. The second feature is “The 13th Hour,” starring Lionel Barrymore. A multiplicity of secret panels, hidden trapdoors, moving chairs and other strange devices make "The Thirteenth Hour” easily one of the most thrilling mystery dramas in years. At the same time it is not in the least a “spine-chiller.” but covers the dramatic action with great rapidity, and vivid realism. Gloria Swanson and her company, with Raoul Walsh as director and leading man. spent three weeks on location filming scenes for “Sadie Thompson,” Miss Swanson’s second United Artists’ production. The setting of the story is Pago Pago in the South Seas. A tramp steamer and two schooners were chartered to impart the necessary maritime atmosphere to the early scenes of the story, which is the most dramatic picture Miss Swanson has ever screened. A group of Samoan natives, one of whom is a native chief, served as extra players in the film, while it was being filmed in Pago Paso.
