’SHORE v. RICHMOND
To-Morrow’s Big League Game FAST GAME ANTICIPATED THE hig- Rugby League attraction to be played at Carlaw Park to-morrow, promises to be the best match seen this season. The two undefeated teams, Devonport and Richmond will meet and it is difficult to forecast the result.
Both Shore and Richmond play very open and fast football and with both throwing the ball round freely some exciting Rugby League will no doubt be witnessed. Both sides have had weeks of hard training and have youth in their favour. Richmond did not have a game la.st week on account of a bye, while Devonport on the other hand had a good run round against Marists and its backs were given plenty of opportunities to get into action. This will no doubt prove very beneficial to the team from over the water. But although the Shore men combine well and are capable of making deadly rearguard rushes, the Richmond players have proved themselves as good allrounders, and the game can only prove the most interesting played this season. On the No. 2 ground at Carlaw Park Ponsonby will try conclusions with Marist and an interesting game should be provided. The match between Ellerslie and Newton will be played at Ellerslie.
