Who Kicked Norman McKenzie ?

AFR. NORMAN McKENZIE, the well known New Zealand selector, had rather an unusual experience while he was refereeing a match at Hawke’s Bay recently. He had the misfortune to slip down while the game was in progress and before ”• he could get on his feet again someone " put the boot” into him in an exceedingly hefty fashion. The kick must have gone right home, for Mr. McKenzie was still feeling the effects of of it when he attended the annual meeting of the New Zealand Union the following week. He was noticed to be getting round with a pronounced limp. That he got a good hefty kick, probably from some he-man forward, does not seem to trouble Mr. McKenzie so much as the annoy-

ing fact that despite searching inquiries, he is unable to discover and lay his hands on the “bird” who delivered the kick.
