GIRL SENT FOR TRIAL

The young v;oman Eileen Wall, who was stated to have told a detective that she had spent nearly £S,OOO, the property of her employer, on clothes and at the races, has been committed for trial on the charge of stealing £7,851. She reserved her defence. UNION OFFICIAL CHARGED SYDNEY, Wednesday. Edwin Lucas, aged 53, a former assistant-secretary of the Seamen’s Union, has been committed for trial on the charge of the embezzlement of rhe funds of the union totalling £205.
