WHARF STALL WRECKED

ESCAPADE AT NORTHCOTE LOCKS RESIST ATTACK An attempt was made at 7.30 last evening to break open the cigarette and news agent’s stall on the Northcote Wharf. The perpetrators of this larrikinism, in their endeavour to reach the goods inside, pushed the stall on to its side, wrecking the contents. The locks on the structure resisted all efforts, and the intending thieves netted nothing from their escapade. The proprietor, when he made the discovery, had th© stall righted and the goods restored to their shelves, and he immediately erected the “business as usual” sign. This is the second time an attempt has been made to break into Mr. Harding's store.
