MR. W. W. MASSEY DECLINES NOMINATION Last evening Mr. W. W. Massey definitely stated that he would not b e the official Reform candidate for the Hauraki electorate. A large and influential deputation of electors of the newly-formed Hauraki Electorate waited on Mr. Massey at

Papatoetoe evening and asked that he allow himself to be nominated as the official Reform candidate for the district. M r. Massey thanked the deputation, but definitely stated that because of family reasons he could not see his way to

accede to the request. Mr. Massey is a son of the late Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. W. F. Massey, and resides at Mangere. Among his many public activities he is president of the Auckland A. and P. Association.
