4MNCE Sir Thomas Beecham’s electrifying performance of “The Messiah” a year or so ago, there has been a steady growth of revived interest in Handel's music in London, and Beecham himself has rescued several of the composer’s works from the realm of forgotten things. The Handel followers include many well-known folk, notably Lord Balfour, who has long been a devotee, and who rarely misses a Handel concert.
