TRAFFICKING FOR PLAYERS PROTEST BY SHORE At the meeting of the Management Committee of the Auckland Rugby League last evening, the Northcote Club protested strongly against senior clubs trafficking for players from its B section. The latter stated that two of the cub’s prominent players had demanded transfer under a threat to stand down for 12 months, whereby they would make their clearance absolute. There were two other applications for transfer under the consideration of the club. After considerable discussion it was decided to forward the contents of the protest to all clubs. The Judicial Committee reported that the Ponsonby senior grade player who used bad language to the referee at the conclusion of last Saturday’s match had been suspended for four playing Saturdays. Mr. Earnest Davis’s donation of a cup for the primary schools’ competition was received with thanks. It was decided to extend an invitation to the patients of the tuberculosis shelter huts to attend all club matches at Car law Park. The transfers of G. Cammick, from Ponsonby to Newton, and W. Donald, from Richmond to Marist, were approved. R. H. Williamson was reinstated to the League code, and A. Sloman was regraded from Parnell seniors to juniors.
