PLEASURE CRUISES. —Once more the Hamburg-American Line's Pleasure Pirate Cruises to the Caribbean are to the fore, says the “Nautical Gazette.’ So successful were they last year, reports Mr. Louis Weickum, that this year they are repeating the cruises with added glories—new uniforms, a revised initiation ceremony and many other novelties, including a boat race on a huge canvas. Ten per cent, of the proceeds go to seamen's charities, the balance goes to winners. Last season over 20,000 dollars changed hands in this way. For the first cruise the route is New York, Santiago. Kingston, Colon, Havana and return—l 6 days. Later tours of 27 days include also San Juan. St. Thomas, Porte de Framfe, St. Pierre, Barbados, Trinidad, La "iiuayra and Curacao.
