BOXING TEAM MAY TOUR
MEN FROM AUSTRALIA (United P.A. —By Telegraph — Copyright) Reed. 12.35 p.m. SYDNEY, To-day. The published announcement to-day that the New Zealand Boxing Council would welcome a visit from an Australian team, but not from a mere State team as suggested from Queensland, was subject to comment by Mr. F. G. Underwood, secretary of the Australian Boxing Union, who stated that no such tour could be arranged, except through the Boxing Union, therefore the Queensland proposal was unauthorised. Mr. Underwood, however, is convinced that a tour by an Australian team would do immense good, and if New Zealand sent an invitation, it would receive favourable consideration.
