DUCK-SHOOTING ACCIDENT

TWO SPORTSMEN INJURED (From Our Own Correspondent.) W NGAREI, Monday. When duck-shooting yesterday afternoon, near Hikurangi, Mr. S. Cowan was taking Ins gun from a boat when it exploded. The charge went through, the side of the boat, and about 30 pellets were embedded in his chest and arms. Mr. C. Stockley, his companion, also received some pellets in his shoulder. Mr. Cowan is still confined to bis bed, but his condition is not serious.
