THOUSAND-POUND CAR

SECOND FRAUD CHARGE CORYTON AGAIN REMANDED (Special to THE SUN) NAPIER, Monday. A second charge was made against Colin Coryton, an Englishman, who appeared in Court to-day on remand, charged with obtaining £3OO from Mrs. Lowry, of Okaua, by false pretences. The second charge was that on March 27 at Whangarei, with intent to defraud, he obtained from David Wylie a motor-car valued at £9BO by means of an alleged letter of credit from Lloyd’s Bank, London, for £I,OOO payable at the Bank of New Zealand, Whangarei. On the application of Senior-Sergeant Powell a further remand was granted in the case until June 1.
