Sweden’s Crown Prince Visits Britain
Guest for Few Weeks of Duke of Connaught PRINCESS INGRID TOO British Official Wireless Reed. 10.43 a.m. RUGBY, Sunday. Gustav Adolf, Duke of Skane and Crown Prince of Sweden, accompanied by his 18-year-old daughter, Princess Ingrid, arrived at London last night,
on a visit for a few weeks to the Duke of Connaught, King George’s uncle. The Crown Princess will come later. The visitors were greeted by their Royal relatives, with the Swedish Minister and his staff, and members of the Anglo-Swedish Society.
Crown Prince Gustav Adolf was born on November 11, ISS2. He was married first (in 19 05) to Princess Margaret Victoria, daughter of Prince Arthur, Duke of Connaught. She died on May 1, 1920. On November 23, the Prince was married to Louise, Princess of Battenberg. He has live children: Prince Gustav Adolf, born April 22, 1906 ; Prince Sigvard, born June 7, 19 07 ; Princess Ingrid, born March 28, 1910 : Prince Bertil, born February 28, 1912 ; Prince Ca.rl Johan, born October 31, 1916.
