The Rev. and Mrs. Jolly, of Dunedin, are staying at Glenalvon. * * * At the Grand Hotel are Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Hunt, of Wellington. Mrs. H. Kenton, of Wellington, is paying a visit to Auckland. Mrs. J. C. Dumbleton, of Rotorua, is among those at the Star Hotel. Mrs. Sladden returned to New Plymouth last week from a visit to Auckland. Mrs. W. Robinson has left New Plymouth to take up her residence in Auckland. Mr. and Mrs. F. Alison, of Waiheke, and Mr. and Miss Holmes, of Masterton. are at the Hotel Cargen. The Hon. G. J. Smith, M.L.C., and Mrs. Smith, arrived in Auckland this morning from Wellington. Mrs. J. M. King, who has been visiting Mrs. Dick, of Nelson, has returned to Nelson Avenue, Takapuna. Mrs. J. G. Coates and her two daughters, accompanied the Prime Minister when he left town this morning for Dargaville. Mrs. Waterston returned to New Plymouth last week from Auckland. Her daughter, Miss Waterston, accompanied her. * * * Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Russell, of Christchurch, are visiting Auckland and are staying with Mrs. P. Webster, Herne Bay. The Commodore and members of the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron have issued invitations for an “At Home” to be held at 3.30 p.m. on Saturday, May 26. Hinehou, the fourth daughter of Sir A. T. Ngata and Lady Ngata, was married recently at Wai-o-Matatini, to Te Whiu Te Purei, son of Mrs. Te Purei and the late Mr. Mohi Te Purei. of Tikitiki. A large number of people assembled to be present on the occasion. Both young people are very popular. The Rev. P. M. Kohere officiated.
