LYRIC

“SIMPLE SIS” “Square Crooks” is the first feature on the programme now being shown at the Lyric Theatre. John Mack Brown, co-featured with Robert Armstrong, gives a realistic portrayal of a black sheep trying to turn W'hite. After a series of thrilling adventures, Brown finds himself in possession of the famous Carson necklace, for which police all over the country are seeking. However, the boys are rescued from their predicament by their former employer, who clears up the mystery in a novel manner, to the joy of all concerned. The second feature is “Simple Sis,” starring Louise Fazenda and Clyde Cook in a delightfully humorous story of the loves of a laundry girl. Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer has acquired the motion picture rights to the story “Big Hearted Jim,” by Petterson Marzoni, published recently in the “Liberty Magazine.”
