HARDY PLANTS
Forget-Me-Nots.— The giant forget-me-not CAnchusa carpensis) is worth a Place in every garden. It will bloom m the early spring and into next winter m the colder districts. The plants are easily raised in any soil and are prolific flowerers. If cut back when the ordinary blooming is over they will quickly produce a fresh lot of flowers. Azaleas.—Where a bright show is sought in the early spring, room should be found for azaleas. They ask little attention beyond mulching, and are not particular about position. ’ The colours are white, red, purple and various stripes, but the white is most showy. The bushes are evergreen and can be trimmed to any shape. Azaleas are not suitable for cut flowers, but will grow in large-sized pots, which can be used for inside decoration.
