BRITISH FILMS AND LEGISLATIVE BENEFIT
“British films are already experiencing the benefits of recent legislation,” says “The Times.” ! The annual report of the CineI matography Exhibitors’ Association strikes an optimistic note. The British film, it says, with its British | note, story, and wholesome sense of our ideas, has found its opportunity. The Act has stimulated the British film industry in a marvellous manner. Financiers, who formerly regarded British production as something almost to be avoided, are only too willing and anxious to assist. Production proceeds apace, and the outlook is most encouraging. That the growing importance of the British film industry is being realised in America is proved by the friendly reviews given to the “Battles of Coronel and the Falkland Islands.” This film is also being shown in Germany.
