EMPIRE
“SEVENTH HEAVEN” “Seventh Heaven,” a beautifully touching and historic romance is now being shown at the Empire Theatre. Perhaps the most delightful part of the story is where Chico, to save Diane, lies to the police that she is his wife. His long coveted job on the hose will be taken from him when the police find out the truth. But Diane gently suggests that she stay with him in his home until after the police investigate. He is delighted with the suggestion and leads her up the seven flights of steps up to his attic beneath the stars and turns the apartment over to her, himself sleeping on the porch. For the first time in her life Diane is happy, secure and beginning to find life beautiful under Chico’s contagious laughter, working all day in keeping the little attic cosy and preparing Chico’s meals. The second feature is Rin-Tin-Tin in “Tracked by the Police.”
