NEW ROAD WANTED

WAITAKERE REQUEST MR. COATES APPROACHED A vote of £2,000 on the estimates for the formation and metalling of a road from Taupaki to Motutara, in the Waitakere district, was sought by a deputation of settlers which approached the Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. J. G. Coates, at Auckland today. It was claimed that the district would benefit by the road and a short cut to Muriwai would be provided. Mr. Coates will consider the request.
