Dead in Woodyard.—The death occurred suddenly this morning of Edmond Dougherty, of Gisborne, a coal and wood merchant, aged 61. Dougherty complained of pains in his chest an dabdomen and later was found dead in his woodyard. Postmaster Charged. —A charge of stealing £6O, the property of the Government, was preferred in the Police Court to-day against William James Marslin, postmaster at Tuai, near Wairoa. He was remanded until next Friday. Bail was allowed and accused was ordered to report daily to the police.—Press Association.'
