Q.OLD DIAL’S failure on Saturday deprived owner G. A. Williams of the pleasure of holdina out h.s hand for a third handsome trophy this season. The mare was in a bad mood and lost enough ground to make her task an impossible one, nevertheless the Wellsford representative put up a sterling performance and finished close up to the placed division. Gwner Williams, however, may yet see the desire of his heart fulfilled, aS *u-* Ad A ams Memorial Gold Cup, wifh Its 437 limit, will give Gold uial another opportunity to earn distinction and on this occasion she may be off the deep end.
