A Bird’s Nest For Your Coat
New Ideas in Posies A whole procession of buttonhole posies has appeared, some of them made of the most unexpected materials and shapes. One novelty consists of a tuft of pine needles dipped into green enamel and interspersed with tiny globules of blown glass, red and white ones, that look like transparent berries. Leaves and flowers made of beaten metal are either left in gold or silver hue or covered with a thin Limoges enamel in lovely transparent colours, and both ideas lend originality to lapel posies. A little bunch of toadstools in red, blue and green is a quaint addition to the coat lapel or collar. They are made of wooden buttons covered with silk or velvet, having painted black or white spots. A bird's nest, with a beautifullymade little bird sitting in it, is another quaint device for brightening a sombre fur or cloth coat.
